Why Should You Make Your Own Juice?

You've heard about Juice Cleanse and how it can detoxify your body, make you lose weight and improve your health. But have you ever wondered what the benefits of juicing are and how it is different from simply eating fruits and vegetables - or drinking water?
Since we were children, our elders always tell us to eat our vegetables and fruits because they are nutritious and will make us grow faster. We've always known at the back of our heads that it is good for us. These days though, fast food and junk food are more readily available, and we don't reach the required amount of nutrients we need for a healthy body. Burger joints don't have many veggies and fruits on their menus. The benefits of juicing as compared to a water detox regimen is the amount of vitamins and nutrients our body gets from juiced greens and fruits.
Juicing is an easy way to supercharge your nutrient intake from juice and vegetables. The benefit of juicing is you can meet your daily recommended vitamins in just one drink. Juicing retains most of the vitamins, minerals and phytonutrients that can be found in the whole version of vegetables and fruits. We need these nutrients to help protect us from dreadful diseases such as cancer, heart diseases, high blood pressure, diabetes and others. Health wise, I find juicing easier because I don't like eating vegetables particularly.
Some fanatics claim that juicing is the only way to go, but this is not recommended for a very long period of time. You still need solid food and fiber. Juicing is also not a substitute for the medicine that your doctor prescribed to you. This is a diet that you can incorporate into your lifestyle to improve your health and body function. It is not a miracle cure!
There are many juice bars cropping up and companies selling commercially produced juice, these are alternatives if you don't have a good blender at home for juicing. I still prefer doing my juice from home where I can see what goes into it. I can also experiment with different combinations. If you don't like broccoli, making a green juice out of it is a good way to get the nutrients of this super food. Once it's blended, your brain will no longer recognize that its broccoli. That's one of the benefits of juicing. You can get the vitamins and minerals that can be found in the food that you don't usually eat - in just one or two gulps!
The benefits of juicing include improving our digestive system by giving our digestive organs a break from processing protein, fats and fibers. It takes less energy for our bodies to digest these foods in liquid form and in a shorter period of time, it can deliver the required nourishment to our body. Even our body deserves a break once in a while.
As a weight loss diet, juicing definitely has merit. Since it is very low in calories, you will burn off those unwanted pounds - especially if combined with light exercise. The benefit of juicing includes being able to drink highly concentrated health cocktails filled with enzymes, vitamins and nutrients without dietary fat and very minimal calorie. Vegetable juice has a lower calorie count than fruit juice and helps regulate blood sugar levels. But vegetable juice is not a complete meal in itself and should not be used as a meal replacement.
